Urban Accelerated Certification and Master’s Program

  • Transition to Teaching stipend  – Only available to students enrolled in the Urban Accelerated Certification and Masters (UACM) program. Through a Transition to Teaching Grant provided by the Department of Education, stipends are available for UACM students entering the program in May 2008, with a signed service agreement.  For more information, please contact Nancy Schafer at

Future Immersion Teacher Fellowship

The Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education is a partner with the FIT (Future Immersion Teacher) Fellowship.  The FIT Fellowship is an initiative of the French government’s Dual Language Fund, launched by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States and the FACE Foundation.  Qualified French-speaking students enrolled in either the MEd in Elementary Education with a concentration in Dual Language Education program or the ECE Dual Immersion Early Childhood Education Endorsement program may apply for this Fellowship.  For more information, visit the FIT Fellowship website or contact Cathy Amanti, Ph.D.
